Prior to the start of what's now Gojira, frontman Joe Duplantier made waves in the fight against climate change. With the help of his friends and bandmates, Duplantier organizaed a beach cleanup, collecting all the rubbish in plastic bags, followed by what would become a news-worthy statement - dumping it in the parking lot of the mayor's office.
