Ian R. from North Carolina was the winner of the Propeller experience to "Win a Trip To Meet GROUPLOVE on P!NK's Summer Carnival 2023 Tour in Chicago" that took place in August 2023. Below are some of Ian's highlights from the experience.
We got to Chicago on Friday night and made it to our beautiful hotel, The LaSalle Chicago. Had dinner and drinks at their wonderful restaurant, and talked about how much fun we were going to have the next day!
We started off Saturday morning in Chicago with an Architecture Boat Tour of the city, which was a great way to take in the history of Chicago. After exploring the city, we got ready for our big evening and headed off to Wrigley Field to see GROUPLOVE perform, and then P!nk to close the show. We made it into the stadium, and we were blown away by the amazing seats gifted to us by Propeller! Field level seats, right in the center so we could see and enjoy absolutely everything.
GROUPLOVE came out and kicked a$$ to open the show, played their hit Hello off their new album I Want It All Right Now, along with Ways to Go, Colours, Tongue Tied, and others. After their set, we headed up to the Cub Suites to meet the band. This was the absolute highlight of the trip! Christian, Hannah, Dan, Andrew and Ben could not have been nicer and more welcoming to us, it was AMAZING. Christian and Hannah are on the board of KultureCity, the nation's leading nonprofit on sensory accessibility and acceptance for those with invisible disabilities and our daughter also has an invisible disability and we talked at length about the amazing work that KultureCity does. We hung out with the band for a solid 40-45 minutes before we headed back down to the field to watch the amazing P!NK close out the show by flying through the air and singing her heart out.
We had to head home the next day, but we will never forget this amazing experience. Thank you so much to GROUPLOVE, and thank you so much to Propeller for making this happen for us!
