Winner Recap: Win a Trip to AEW Double or Nothing Weekend in Las Vegas

June 10th, 2023

Daniel B. from California was the winner of the Propeller experience to "Win a Trip to AEW Double or Nothing Weekend in Las Vegas" that took place in May 2023. Below are some of Daniel's highlights from the experience.

Trip of a lifetime!

When I found out I won the trip to see AEW Double or Nothing in Las Vegas, I knew it was going to be a great trip.

My wife and I drove up from Southern California and arrived at the MGM Grand around 3:30 PM. We relaxed in the room for a little until it was time for dinner. We ended up going to Emeril's because we wanted to spoil ourselves. As we were waiting for our meal, I saw AEW stars Sammy Guevara and Tay Melo walk past us. I didn't want to disturb them but I sent a tweet and Sammy actually replied and said I should've said hi! Dinner was great and then it was back to the room, but not before I played my $30 I brought to gamble with, it was gone quickly.

Day 2 was Saturday and we took a walk over to New York, New York for breakfast. After that we went back to the room to watch a wrestling show from another promotion (I'm sure you know what one it was.) When that ended around 1:30 we went to AEW Fan Fest, and I don't know how many different wrestlers we walked by in the casino. It was funny to pass by someone you've seen on TV and say hi to them by their first or ring name like you know them personally. While at the fan fest we watched Ryan Nemeth do a stand up comedy show and RJ City did a Q&A along with an unofficial live episode of his podcast "Hey! EW" with members of the Jericho Appreciation Society. They were all hilarious. When that ended around 6PM we went back to our room and watched the end of the hockey game that was taking place in Vegas. When that ended we headed towards the monorail to go to a show at The Flamingo. We got to The Flamingo and headed to the Showroom to watch RuPaul's Drag Race. We had a great time watching them perform. When that was over it was back to the monorail and back to our hotel to retire for the night.

Day 3 and it was main event day! Did a short walk on the strip and had Hard Rock Cafe for breakfast. Then it was back to the room to relax and watch the end of the Indianapolis 500. When that was over we walked to the T-Mobile Arena and picked up our tickets for Double or Nothing. Walked down to our seats and they were the best in the house! A representative from AEW set up a meet and greet with a couple of wrestlers who ended up being Willow Nightingale and Skye Blue. They were the sweetest, and got to take a picture with them. The show was great, lots of action a return of a wrestler that popped me huge! When the show was over the ushers freed up our commemorative chairs for us to take home. Then it was back to the hotel for some rest before our drive home with all the other people going to California on Memorial Day.

All in all it was a wonderful trip, once in a lifetime. Thank you Propeller, KultureCity, All Elite Wrestling and everyone else who was able to make it happen.
